10 Little Things My Grandparents Taught Me

I felt compelled to do a blog post about some of the wonderful things i’ve learned from the older generations of my family. I think that in some ways you find out who you are by looking at where you came from.

  1. Family always comes first.
  2. Good food has a tendency to come second.
  3. Recently my one of my grandfathers had his 80th birthday where we gave him a photobook collage that contained photos from different periods in his life. In turning through the pages he told us, “You know it’s funny, you look through all these years.” In hearing that, it just reminds me to slow down from time to time and enjoy what’s around me. My 10 Essentials

Let me first start out that I don’t consider myself materialistic. Should I ever go traveling one day and live abroad, I’d hate to feel attached to an object. On the other hand, I’d like to share with you 10 things I do really enjoy:

  1. Apple iMac – There is something that I really enjoy about using an Apple computer. Things work when I want them to and  it’s intuitive while being designed so beautifully. I love minimalistic design, and Apple designs wonderfully minimalistic products. In a way, the design of the computer keeps my mind at ease and allows me to focus on my work.
